Cancellation Rights
You have the right to cancel a purchase within 14 calendar days
You must return the item within 14 days of cancellation
Online traders can withhold funds until goods are returned or evidence of return is provided
The can reduce the refund if the returned goods show evidence of use beyond the handling necessity
Traders must refund within 14 days of cancellation of service
Where the consumer cancels a contract any warranty or credit agreement is automatically cancelled also

Investment products – vintage wines, art
Bespoke and customised goods
Goods which expire/deteriorate quickly
Newspapers and magazines
Contracts completed at a public auction
Goods sealed for health or hygiene reasons (earrings)
Audio, video and software products if the seal has been broken
Urgent household repair contracts

Intellectual property rights (IPRs)
Recent example - Duke Nukem
Duke Nukem was thought to be sold in 2010 so the company who thought they bought it made a new game and were sued
IP can be sold for financial gain
