HISTORY

In 1970, Nguyen Thi Vinh, born in 1945, residing in Ben Tre town, changed the way of processing candy

Coconut candy originates from Mo Cay district - Ben Tre

According to collected documents, the first person to make candy was Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, born in 1914.

Nguyen Thi Vinh established the Thanh Long coconut candy production facility, the first facility in Ben Tre town, and from there created the name Ben Tre coconut candy.

PRODUTION PROCESS

Select dried coconuts that have just been picked "golden tan".

The maltster must be a skilled craftsman.

To germinate, rice must be watered with clean rain water and then boiled to get malt

The sticky rice used to cook malt must be good sticky rice, with large grains that are evenly cooked
