Water and inorganic ions
-
Nitrate
Nitrate is used to make amino acids/proteins. Proteins help make/repair cells and structures of plants.
Magnesium and Calcium
These two ions played a role in the growth and development of plants. It is also present in enzymes.
Stem structures
Xylem
Position
Xylem is located somewhat in the middle of a branch/root, surrounded by phloem.

-
Sclerenchyma
Position
Sclerenchyma are present inside fruits (e.g. pear) or the hard skin of fruit (e.g. durian), and any hard walls around the plant.

Starch and Cellulose
Starch
Starch is made up of α-glucose structures. Starch has 2 main structures, which are amylose and amylopectin. Starch has a branched structure.
-
Cellulose
Cellulose are made up of β - D-glucose structures. Cellulose has a straight structure (1,4 glycosidic bonds).
