HISTORY
Vietnam Ao Dai Museum District 9 was born from the enthusiastic and elaborate creative ideas of artist Si Hoang - a designer, a talented painter. The idea of building the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Museum was rekindled by him for 10 years.
The purpose identified by him is to honor the beauty of Vietnamese culture and help foreign tourists understand more about the nation's traditional costumes. Therefore, this place is also known as the Si Hoang Ao Dai Museum.
The description of the Ao Dai Museum tells the story of a time when designer Si Hoang visited the Kimono museum. At that time, he was very surprised when the Vietnamese Ao Dai was displayed here. However, it is worth mentioning that the costume's note is "Chinese modern clothing".
Therefore, the idea of building the Ao Dai Museum in District 1 was also conceived to honor the national costume of our nation.
