In 1955, the Ministry of Culture of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam renovated and embellished One Pillar Pagoda according to the old architecture
The image of One Pillar Pagoda is embossed on the face of a metal coin with a face value of 5 thousand VND
In 1962, One Pillar Pagoda complex was recognized as a National Historical Site of Architecture and Art.
By 2012, One Pillar Pagoda was honored to be set a record by the Asian Records Organization "The temple with the most unique architecture in Asia".

One Pillar Pagoda has only a small wooden pagoda located on a large stone pillar placed in the center of Linh Chieu Lake
