Mangers vs Leaders
Leaders

Power is only held as long as the leader continues to inspire and motivate those that are following them.
Managers

Good managers should also show leadership skills, so employees don't just follow orders because they are obliged too, but because they feel motivated and inspired by the manager.
Leaders don't usually stick rigidly to one style of leadership, they adapt to suit the situation.
For example, when developing a new product a laissez-faire style may be best in the early stages when highly skilled staff are designing the product.
Then a more direct (autocratic) style could be used during productions to make sure all targets are met.
