Me at Work
In a job position, I value working in a creative environment with like-minded people. When I can find a group of people around me that I can relate to, I feel most comfortable.
My work ethic can differ depending on the type of situation that I am in. I believe that I work best when my environment is not idle or stagnant. I work well in a fast-paced, creative, and changing environment. It can be difficult for me to focus or put all my energy into my work when I'm doing something that does not interest me or excite me.
My personality type is ENTP. This means that I am energized by challenge and I am often inspired by a problem that others perceive as impossible to solve. Moreover, I love to find new creative solutions for problems and often refuse to do a task the same way twice. I believe that my personality type coincides very well with my desired career because in the industry of videography, it is crucial to find new ways of doing things and stand out.
I believe that ethical responsibility plays an important role in every profession. But for videography specifically, I believe it plays a big role in the fact that you always have to be open and honest with your clients in order to build meaningful connections and a strong, positive reputation.

Here you can also find my LinkedIn page.
My personal brand can be described as a direct reflection of my own personality. Therefore, it is creative, spontaneous, unpredictable, and evolving. I strive to create meaningful work that both I and my clients can relate to and appreciate.
I do not currently have any active social media handles specifically dedicated to my work but I certainly plan on doing so as my career develops.
Although I am not a part of any organized industry organization, I surround myself with many individuals that are like-minded and are passionate about the same work that I am. I feel as though we can learn a lot from each other and I can continue to develop myself as a videographer.
Long Term Goals
Besides the 401K that would likely be offered through this position, I plan to put aside a dedicated amount of each of my paychecks towards a savings account that will build incrementally over the years. I think that this would put me in a comfortable position for retirement and emergencies.
Based on my budget and the approximate average salary of a videographer in Pittsburgh, I believe that I would be able to comfortably afford to cover my lifestyle needs including leisure, interests, and hobbies.
My long-term financial goals include first saving up for a down payment on a home, then I plan to save up for my own studio space. After that I want to save up for a car if I do not already have the funds available.
I think I can do a better job of minimizing my short-term spending and increase investments early in life so that I can be better set up for the future. I believe that doing so will help me to achieve my long-term goals in a more timely manner.
According to Zippia, the average salary of a video production manager is $65,618 per year. This seems peculiar as this is less than the average salary of a videographer that I already found online. It is interesting to see the difference in pay between the two positions.
Life-Long Learner
I truly believe that I am continuing to learn every day through the people I encounter. I am going to continue to surround myself with like-minded people that I can learn from. I also plan to learn through videos and I watch and content I see that is industry related. I believe that all of this combines will enhance my overall knowledge of the industry.
It has been interesting to see the rise in video creation, specifically through platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Video creation and production is becoming very mainstream which can be both detrimental and beneficial for content creators. It is interesting to see the amount of new work that is being created but it may make it more difficult for individuals in this field to set themselves apart from others.
I believe that with this rise in video creation, there will be more jobs that will open up for video creators and editors due to higher demand. Companies will be looking to market themselves using this medium which will create a lot of new and exciting opportunites.
I would not personally consider going back for another degree post-graduation. I believe that I can achieve my career goals with the bachelor's degree that I will be graduating with. However, if I were to go back to school, I would choose to pursue a bachelor's degree in Business Administration so that I can utilize efficient strategies that will help me to develop my own business.
