Since 1961, the period of resistance against the US when the Commissariat, Command of Saigon - Gia Dinh Military Region chose Cu Chi as an active area

Became the most powerful resistance base and underground defense system of the Southern army in wartime.

Cu Chi Tunnels 70 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City center, are common names for different tunnel systems, formed between 1946 and 1948, during the period of resistance against French colonialism.
