Strengths: For this area, I have incorporated setting boundaries and prioritizing myself. I have been putting myself and my mental health first. I think it is an important part of self care. I will continue to practice being intentional in my choices and keeping my priorities straight.
Challenges: For this area, I feel challenged to communicate my boundaries. I feel like miscommunication is one of the largest issues when it comes to expressing boundaries to those around you. For this area I would like to be more open, honest, and intentional towards others when I am communicating my boundaries and choices.
Growth: My areas of growth are paying closer attention to my needs. I feel like doing this will help me make better choices for myself and guide me. Based on my learning, feelings of discomfort, overwhelm, or resentment often mean a boundary has been over-stepped. It is important to acknowledge when this happens.
Strengths: For this area, I have incorporated strong and meaningful relationships. I believe in quality over quantity in relationships and value good friends over having a ton of friends. I will continue to pursue relationships and friendships with people who are kind and honest.
Challenges: For this area, I have challenges seeing the red flags in toxic people. I feel that I believe the best in people and when I can't see the signs, I sometimes find myself surrounded by people who drain my energy. For this area I would like to be more aware of the signs and types of toxic people.
Growth: My areas of growth are prioritizing spending time with those in my life that mean the most to me. It is important to take time away from school and work to continue building on your relationships. Based on my learning, our lives are affected either positively or negatively by the quality of our relationships.
Strengths: For this area, I have incorporated organized religion. I am a practicing catholic and religion is an important aspect of my life. It keeps me grounded and holds me accountable. I also enjoy volunteering and I will continue to volunteer and incorporate prayer into my life daily.
Challenges: For this area, a challenge for me is attending mass every week. I try my best to go every Sunday, but sometimes life gets in the way and I find myself prioritizing other things. I would like to hold myself accountable to attend mass every weekend.
Growth: My areas of growth are to practice saying a prayer every morning and night like the mantra repetition phrases. This way I can get in a habit and make it a part of my every day routine. Based on my learning, this will ignite my spiritual side.
Strengths: For this area, I have incorporated positivity. This can be applied to a lot of aspects in my life, especially with school. I try to have a positive outlook on myself and my future, and also being positive in certain difficult life situations. I will continue to have a positive mindset and outlook.
Challenges: The biggest challenge of keeping a positive mindset is not letting negative thoughts get to me. Doubt and fear prohibit me from staying positive. I would like to practice positive affirmations in order to avoid this.
Growth: My areas of growth are to minimize negative thoughts that occur, especially with school. Based on my learning, a positive mindset will help with coping schools if difficult situations do arise, and learn how to be flexible.
Strengths: For this area I have incorporated disconnecting from electronics. This helps me to focus on my schoolwork as well as improves my mental state. I have time for other more positive and beneficial hobbies in my life when I don't spend as much time on my phone. I will continue to reduce my screen time, especially during the school week.
Growth: My areas of growth are to limit my screen time throughout the day, especially in the morning and at night. Based on my learning, I think this is an important area of growth because screen time can be very mentally exhausting and overstimulating at times. It also affects my sleep schedule.
Challenges: For this area, I have challenges with falling into the habit of spending time on my phone. When I do this, I struggle to get my homework done in a timely fashion and I also have less time to do other things such as laundry. I would like to come up with strategies to avoid spending too much time on my phone.
Growth: My areas of growth are incorporating exercise in my daily schedule at some point. Whether it is just a casual walk or a long run, I want to move my body every day. Based on my learning of how exercise reduces stress, helps recovery from illness, and enhances mood, I think this is a very important area of growth that will aid me well.
Strengths: For this area I have incorporated exercise into my daily schedule. Exercise is important for my physical health as well as enhances my mood and reduces stress from school and work. I try to exercise every day in the morning before class to get my day started. For this area, I will continue to exercise regularly along with eating a healthy and nutritional diet.
Challenges: For this area, I have challenges finding time to exercise daily. Sometimes it is due to exhaustion, and sometimes it is due to school and work load. Exercise is an important aspect of my physical life and for this area I would like to properly manage my time in order to prioritize exercise.
