How quickly can you boost cardiovascular health?
Physiological factors (controlled factors)
Age
Aging influences the possibility of cardiovascular disease as the changes that occur along with it such as fatty despots that builds up in the walls of the arteries.
Genders
It is said that males have a higher chance of developing cardiovascular disease or general heart problems
Weight
Obesity does not only mean weight gain but hypertension that results in higher heart rates.
Bad habits
Smoking is one of the most known habits that causes damage to the lungs and breathing rates that influence heart problems of CVD.
Stress levels
Having constant stress level increases blood pressures that causes heart attacks and strokes
Selected -
Age
Age was chosen due to investigating a more detailed and wider range of people. With having people of all ages, it can be tested of how different ages have a different time frame to improve cardiovascular health.
Uncontrolled factors
Working responsibilities
The people who are being experimented may have a job/ career that they have responsibility in and they may not be able to not attend their work
Hobbies
There are hobbies that people like to do everyday and having to be part of the experiment could interfere with that due to restrictions and instructions of everyday life.
Cultural beliefs
There may be people who has a cultural background and have their own beliefs such as fasting or being Christians and having a rest day on Sundays
Personal thoughts/ opinions
People may have their individual thoughts and opinions about the experiments/ investigation to this question and may not want to follow the guidelines
Selected -
Personal thoughts/ opinions
The uncontrolled variable was chosen to be personal thoughts/ opinions as this is a common component that could occur. Everyone has the right to have a mind of their own but this can become a problem if they are not willing to compromise with the investigation/ experiment.
Measurement
Blood pressure
High blood pressures are based on heart rates and in doing so, it increase hypertension which affects the heart
Measurement -
Blood pressure monitor
Heart rates
Having high heart rates indicates a higher chance of heart problem which in the case is cardiovascular disease.
Measurement -
Finger pulse monitor
Breathing rates
Struggling in breathing connects to having high heart rates as it increase the heart's speed and a symptoms of cardiovascular disease.
Measurement -
Capaciflector
Blood oxygen saturation
As blood oxygen saturation levels decreases, it increase heart rates and leading to possible symptoms of cardiovascular disease
Measurement -
Finger pulse monitor
Cholesterol levels
With overeating, it increases the body's natural cholesterol levels and when that happens it also increase the chances of cardiovascular disease
Measurement -
Blood sample draw
Selected -
Blood pressure
Blood pressure was chosen for the measurement component of the investigation/ experiment. This would be what is being measured to calculate if the guidelines provided are improving cardiovascular health.
Methods of improving CVD
Better diets (being healthier)
Having a even and healthy meal encourages weight loss and also helps with having normal heart rates
Exercising more actively
Keeping a habit of being active boosts oxygen throughout the body and the heart
Stop smoking
Stopping further damages to the lungs and fast breathing rates from the heart's conditions
Taking medicines
This can be health medicines or vitamins that supports improvements in heath problems.
Having a better lifestyle
Improving on everyday bad habits and making a change towards being more healthy in diets, activeness and general everyday things goes towards being less likely to be diagnosis with cardiovascular disease
Selected -
Better diets
This is selected for the method that would be using to investigate the time needed to boost cardiovascular health. As the measuring valuable is blood pressure, the method of better diets would be fitting for it.
Time frame
Weeks
Taking 1 to 3 weeks for the experiment to take place and see if any thing has changed after following the guidelines
Months
Letting the experiment happen during time frames of 1 to a few months and seeing if there is a better improvement to the people's health after it.
Year
Coming back to the experiment after a year or more and investigate if not the guidelines boosted cardiovascular health.
Selected -
Month
The time frame of months were chosen for the time when data will be collect to compare in the measurements and identifying if not the selected measurement had improved in cardiovascular health.
