The Manhattan Project was a secret operation with the intent to create an atomic bomb. This project was kept under the radar as much as Roosevelt could because he didn't want any foreign spies reporting information on the project back to their country's leaders. He also didn't relay this project to Stalin as the relations were worsening between America and Russia. However, Russian intelligence was able to receive information about the project. Stalin soon ordered scientists to develop an atomic bomb for Russia. This soon turned into an arms race between America and the Soviets, a key factor that caused the Cold War.

When the United States dropped the bomb on Hiroshima, many people thought it was a show of power to the Soviets. This most likely influenced the scale in which the Soviets wanted to create their bomb. The Soviets wanted their atomic bomb to be unrivaled by anything that had been created in the past. The scientists worked until they created a bomb so deadly that it is 3,800 times more powerful than the United States' bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima.

The creation of the Berlin Wall in the Cold War is similar to the event of Japanese Internment Camps. The Berlin Wall was created to keep people from passing to the other side because the Soviets didn’t agree with Western Berlin’s support from the United States. Therefore, the Soviets restricted travel and forcefully made them stay in one area with no freedom to move as they please. This is similar to Japanese Internment Camps because the United States didn’t agree with Japan’s actions, which caused America to restrict the movement of people of Japanese descent to prevent espionage. Both the Berlin Wall and Japanese Internment Camps were created to restrict the movement and knowledge of a specific group of people.

. This event is similar to that of the Bombing of Pearl Harbor. Both the United States and the Soviets used these events to create propaganda for their countries. The United States used the Japanese mini-sub as a way to sell war bonds to fund the war, making the financial burden less severe. The Tsar Bomba was nicknamed the ‘Propaganda Bomb’ as it was never actually considered for military purposes. The bomb allowed nationalism within Russia to increase, causing more people to support Russia’s war against the United States.
