- - - - I like the connection to and emphasis on "bravery" in this model, as speaking up against dominant systems of oppression, especially in academia, takes a certain level of courage and dedication. All four scholars who came together to write this paper have, in so doing, provided an example of how scholars can band together to create transformative and liberating change within marginalized spaces.
- - - - Organizers, including Moya Bailey, helped to transform the hashtag into collective action by redefining "collective" in a digital context. Many people began sharing their stories online, and #transformDH has begun to "move through cyberspace as a signal, highlighting conversations, blog posts, conference papers, articles, and other media objects that may be of interest to people concerned with how race, class, gender, disability, and sexuality shape our world.
- - - - Once settling on a name for the movement, the #transformDH "quickly emerged as a rallying call" on social media platforms and at various institutions.
        
        Not long after the hashtag caught on, critics emerged, primarily begging the question of what it truly meant to "transform" a movement/academic space.
      - Note that the authors still acknowledge that there have been many scholars within DH who have been doing their own transformative projects by incorporating feminist critique and intersectionality into their work.
