Lakshmi is the Goddess of Wealth yet she doesn’t suffer greed. She is the devoted wife of Vishnu.She watches over the entire cosmos.

She is part of the Tridevi. She is the Goddess of music. She is also known as Maa Sarasvati which means ‘Mother’.

It is believed that the city of Varanasi is where the God of Destruction once lived a long time ago. Also, they believe that if you die there, you will be free from the cycle of birth and death. The Vedwan family can travel to the river Ganges and immerse themselves in the water. Hindus believe that this will purify them from their sins.
They can learn about Shiva the God of Destruction as it is a very sacred place for her. They could go to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple which is one of the holiest temples in Hinduism. It is one of the Jyotirlingas, and is dedicated to Shiva alone.

Hindu’s think it is important to go on a pilgrimage because it brings them closer to god. Though a pilgrimage, they can show their belief in god and connects them with Brahman.
The largest gathering of people in the world, Kumbh Mela is one of the most important pilgrimages in Hindu faith. Millions of people gather at the river of Ganges, hoping to be purified by the four drops of immortality. The story is that a bird picked up a jar of immortality nectar, and four drops fell in the river.
