PDU Unit: Classroom technology integration of Google classroom to enhance the students learning environments
Purpose of PDU : Provide professional development through workshops and cognitive coaching to K-5 teachers to utilize Google classroom to increase comprehensible input in their lessons.
Formative Assessment : Teachers will create a video using a video editor of their choice where they will describe their level of understanding of Google classroom in their instruction.

Formative Assessment : Teachers will write 2 paragraphs to define their personal goals to incorporate and increase the use of Google classroom in their instruction.
Formative Assessment : Teachers will show how to use the above resources mentioned and interact with others in their mock classroom. Instructional coach will visually assess the teachers while completing this task.
Formative Assessment : Construct an anchor chart using the platform or your choice ( digital and or paper based) where you include detailed procedures on how to add the following to a mock Google classroom : SchoolTube and or Youtube videos, Google slides, and Kahoot! games, on a mock Google classroom.
Formative Assessment : In groups of 3 teachers will create a flow chart on ways to communicate with parents using Google classroom.
Align resources to 3 upcoming lessons
Formative Assessment : Deliver a presentation to the class where you provide a list of resources and learning objectives for 3 of their lessons and align these resources with the smart goals defined by the teachers.
Formative Assessment : Teachers will choose one of the 3 modalities of posting assessment and will include it in their google classroom and provide feedback to their students in a different format than the delivered modality of assessment.
Formative Assessment: Create a student and parent tutorial video using the platform of choice to learn how to utilize and communicate within Google classroom.
Goals:
- Assess current teacher’s in their knowledge of Google classroom
- Teachers will increase technological skills and abilities by exploring various components of Google classroom
- Utilize various features in Google Classroom such as creating classes, assessments, tasks, communications with students and being able to navigate efficiently in Google classroom.
- Teach students and parents how to effectively connect and how each of the apps and features operate within Google Classroom.

Objectives: Teachers will describe their level of understanding and application of Google classroom in your current instruction.
Objectives: Teacher’s will define 2 personal goals by creating a quick write explaining how to increase their use of Google classroom in their instruction.
Objectives: Teachers will practice using resources such as SchoolTube and or Youtube videos, Google slides, and Kahoot games, on a mock Google classroom.
Teachers will create an anchor chart demonstrating how to utilize each of the above resources in a mock Google classroom .
Objectives: Teachers will create an assessment using different modalities such as video, audio and or text in a mock Google classroom. After student completes assessment teacher will provide feedback to students in a mock Google classroom using a different modality than the delivered modality of assessment.

Desired results and Summative Assessments: : Teachers will integrate Google classroom in their instruction with the support of at least 3 cognitive coaching sessions

Summative Assessment: Create a Google classroom that integrates all of your students where you will include 3 lesson materials and deliverables that include YouTube videos, resources, and games for your students. In this classroom, you will deliver the 3 lessons and evaluate your students creating formative and summative assessments. Once they have completed the assessments you will provide feedback using audio, video and or text comments to your students.
Share and reflect with your colleagues on how the use of Google classroom in your instruction has impacted your lessons.
