- “Hidden Water” - water that is used to produce things we consume but typically do not think of as containing water.
- 3,000 litres of water to produce a burger - in 2012 five billion burgers were eaten in the UK alone
- 9,000 litres of water to produce a chicken - the UK consumed one billion chickens in 2012
- 9,000 litres of water to produce cotton pyjamas
- 4 litres of water to produce a one-litre plastic bottle of water
- 72,000 litres of water to produce a computer chip

- We need to at least triple energy production by the end of this century to meet demand. This means we need to build:
- 1,800 of the world’s largest dams
- 23,000 nuclear gas stations

- if going predominantly on oil, coal and gas then 36,000 power stations
Politicians aren't giving us the communication that we need and are not telling us the real extent of this problem. This is because in order to make an impact we need to change our ways which isn't popular with the people.
It is now looking likely that the future global temperature rise is 4˚C - this will lead to runaway climate change which is capable of tipping the planet into an entirely different state
