How do Cells Divide?
Mitosis
-
Metaphase
The centrioles in the cell slowly start to move to the poles of the cell and make spindle fibers that reach the chromosomes
Anaphase
The spindle fibers grab onto the chromsomes and slowly break the chromsomes into two chromatins and the cell prepares to split
Telophase
The cell starts to become two having two nuclues just before splitting into two cells and the cell also forms a cleavage furrow in this phase

Cell checkpoints
G0
A temporary stage where the cell stays in if there is any damage to the cell(nerve cells are always in this state)
-
G2 checkpoint
The DNA is checked for any damages and if there is damage beyond repair, then the cell trigers apoptosis
