This is the character vs. self. We learn, even though Theseus is decending into the abyss, to face what is almost certain death, he continues. He overcomes his fear and developes into the hero of the story.
Eventhough he loves Ariadno, Icarus continues to help her and Theseus. We learn that, while Icarus wants to beat Theseus to win Ariadne's "hand", he is still going to help. This teaches us of the importance of being good.
Aegeus does not want his son to leave, but Theseus leaves anyway. This character vs character conflict shows us how independent Theseus is, and how vulnerable his father, the great king, is.
This is the Character Vs. Environment Conflict. This makes Theseus act and is the catylist for the action of the story.
