Lady Macbeth

'Unsex me here'
She wants to be more powerful than a man but doesn't want to be a man.

Married to Macbeth

Helps Macbeth kill KIng Duncan, as she returns the daggers which were used to kill him.

Killed King Duncan, but he brought back the murder weapons to lady macbeth.

She dies near the end of the play as her guilt for murdering Duncan builds up

Banquo & Fleance

Banquo is Fleance's' Dad
Fleance is Banquo's Son

Fleance see's his father die, but fleance escapes the murders through a woods.

Banquo is Macbeth's best friend at the start of the play but near the end of the play, Macbeth pays men to kill both Banquo and his son

Overpowers Macbeth

' Fly good Fleance, fly, fly, fly! Thou may'st revenge – O slave!' These were Banquo's Dying words to Fleance, to tell him to find safety and escape the murders and get revenge.

Macduff

Macduff calls Macbeth a coward and says that Macbeth will be mocked across Scotland if he surrenders


Macduff plans revenge on Macbeth.


I'll not fight with thee. MACDUFF Then yield thee, coward, And live to be the show and gaze o' th' time. “Here may you see the tyrant.”

Macduff shows guilt when he learns about the death of his wife and family, he feels guilty by leaving them and is then driven to get revenge.

According to the witches prediction, Macduff is the only one who can stop Macbeth.

Macduff Kills Macbeth

'Let me clutch thee', Macbeth can see the daggers in front of him but he cant touch or grab them.

Lady Macduff

Macbeth kills Macduff's family to punish him and to deter him from fighting against Macbeth. Macbeth orders Macduff's family killed after he receives the second set of prophecies from the witches.


Now, God help thee, poor monkey! But how wilt thou do for a father? that I should quickly have a new father.

Lady Macduff was very loyal towards her family, this is shown when she gets upset when Macduff flee's the country.

Donalbain


'There's daggers in men's smiles. The near in blood, The nearer bloody.

Donalbain plays his role by supporting malcolm and Duncan as his father

Malcolm

When Lady Macbeth returns from Duncan's chamber she holds out her blood-stained hands and says, “My hands are of your colour, but I shame to wear a heart so white,” claiming that although she has Duncan's blood on her hands she feels no guilt.


Malcolm is Duncan's eldest son.

Upon Duncan's death, Malcolm and Donalbain flee from Scotland, fearing that they will suffer a fate similar to Duncan.

he is afraid that Macduff might be on Macbeth's side.

King Duncan


Duncan is characterized as a generous and good man, undeserving of the blood death that awaits him at Macbeth's castle. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth plan to murder Duncan so that Macbeth can be king

King Duncan is described as a king generous man who respects and is respected by many in scotland.
