Exposition: Background information or events necessary to understand a story; often includes an introduction to characters and setting (place and time story takes place)
Conflict: the main struggle or problem in a story
Rising Action: The events and complications that develop a story; the rising action is fueled by the characters’ responses to the conflict
Climax: The most intense or the highest point of tension in the story; often represents a turning point in the story.
Falling Action: The events after the climax (often the consequences of the climax) that lead to the resolution of the story
Resolution: The end result or conclusion; “tying up any loose ends”; in a personal narrative, the resolution may include a reflection.

my acrostic poem:
dynamic, im positive in attitude and full of energy and new ideas
imaginative, i keep imagining things i don’t have
versatile, i believe i am able to adapt to many different situations
amicable, i am friendly (i hope so)
