Causes
Economic intability that followed World War I, provided fertile ground for fascist movements to take root.
Nationalism and militarism characterized many European societies in the wake of WWI, created an enviroment where fascist ideologies could rise up. Their movements appealed to a sense of national pride and military strenght and expansion.
Many European countries had weak or fledgling democratic institutions making them vulnerable to authoritarian movements.
Consequences

The Nazi regime's systematic persecution and murder of millions of jews, wich was the Holocaust.
