Combination Type ADHD/ADD Interventions for my struggling student!

Student is Struggling with Following Directions
Minimize directions and avoid giving multi-step instructions.
Give written, not oral, instructions.
Give Different Instructions
Student is struggling with behavior management.
Offer choices and nonverbal supports.
Use a timer that the student selects to keep student on task.
Work with the student to develop a system of hand signals they can use in lieu of verbal cues.
Offer incentives for management: if you work for 15 minutes, you can take a 5 minute drawing break.
Student is Struggling with a Written Task
Break task into smaller parts
Limit the amount of work on each page.
Cover parts of the page.
Give additional time for work.
Provide breaks between sections.
Student is struggling with organization.
Offer organizational tools and systems.
Use an assignment notebook.
Glue printed assignments into notebook.
Write written assignments directly in notebook instead of on loose leaf paper.
Use a calendar or agenda.
Give students clear mini deadlines leading up to any due dates.
Collaborate with parents: give student sticky notes to place in agenda and send back and forth daily.
