Centralist wanted a united Spainish state, whereas the regions of Catalonia and basque
The regions of Catalonia and Bosque are so different from the central areas of spain as they have different lanuages, cultures, and stronger stable economy.
Spain depended on these regions for its strong economy and centered much of its industry and bussinesses around these regions
The regions protested in major centralized cities such as Barcerlona for their independece. Major protest were the cause of more than 1000 deaths.
Economic problems :tada:
Spain depened heavily on its argicultural sector which was depended on the season. Most of the employment in spain was argicultural based and caused the poor to be poorer becuase they had to constantly migrate because of the season.
Class and economic gaps in employment caused the poor workers to protest and clash with the upper class in rural areas.
Anarchist added more fuel to the flame by united the poor class and demannding the redistrubution of land
Spain needed further economic and soicetal modernization to make their society more equal. The working class in all demographics of the city lack sustanable living conditions and wages which drove the ecomonic and the gap to expand.
Unions were not a means to solve weaoth inequality and futher divied the wealth gap. The economy also suffered as a result of the missed wealth opportunities during world war one. There was immense inflation and general shortages which futher drove the economy down.

The middle class was united under modertae liberalisim. however it had little impact on the government of spain
Anarchist grew in popularity at the 20th century Anarchist organized strikes and protest. The FAI (Federacion Anarquista Ibereria) tasked with violent and extreme bombing and assinations of political figures and oppistion.
