PATHOGENESIS
1) Recognition of offending agents:
Activation of the innate immune response.
2) Recruitment of immune cells:
Release cytokines to attract immune cells(monocyte, macrophage)
3) Activation of immune cells:
Immune cells released a pro-inflammatory mediator (prostaglandin) which promotes vasodilation, vascular permeability, and migration of immune cells to tissue).
4) Elimination of offending agents
5) Tissue repair
