Childhood amnesia was originally coined by Freud, he discussed an odd amnesia which affected the earliest memories of childhood up until the age of six or eight years. however, there are many different factors that can affect childhood amnesia including; culture, education, sex, upbringing, and developmental delays. Therefore, if an individual was going to be interviewed for a childhood event that happened, these differences must be taken into account on how far back the individual will be able to recall accurately.
