During the early years of Suharto's reign, his econimical plans were mainly to solve inflation and saving the national currency
Short Term Economic Plan
Rehabilitation means physical repair of infrastructure and means of production. And stability is intended to control inflation so that prices do not soar continuously
Long Term Economic Plan
On 1 April 1969, the government created the foundation for development which was called the Five Year Development Plan (Repelita) as the lomg term plan
Repelita I (1969) focused on the rehabilitation of important infrastructure and the development of a business and investment climate.
Repelita II (1974-1979) and Repelita III (1979-1984) focused on achieving economic growth, national stability, and equitable development with an emphasis on the agricultural and industrial sectors that process raw materials into raw materials.
Repelita IV (1984-1989) and Repelita V (1989-1994), tried to maintain progress in the agricultural sector and on the industrial sector, especially industries related to machinery and labor.
Repelita VI dimulai pada tahun 1994 dan berfokus pada pertanian dan ekonomi, namun pada 1998 terjadi krisis ekonomi sehingga Repelita VI tidak sempat selesai
