Section 92:On the imposition of uniform duties of customs, trade, commerce, and intercourse among the States, whether by means of internal carriage or ocean navigation, shall be absolutely free. Trade between the States must be absolutely free from any impositions. No customs, excises or bounties on trade between the states. Cole vs Whitfield 1998- consolidates this. Redefined the meaning of absolutely free and overruled the decision of the State Baking Case 1948 (Bank nationalisation).
