Foot and Ankle Exam - Coggle Diagram
- Observe gait when entering the office
- Inspect footwear (wear patterns)
- Pallor, erythema, swelling

- Foot arches (weight-bearing vs. non-weight-bearing)
- Assess ROM with knee flexed and extended

- Metatarsal heads, sesamoids
- Styloid process of 5th metatarsal
- Anterior talus, medial calcaneus

- Plantar fascia (tenderness assessment)

- Inversion (compare bilaterally)
- Eversion (compare bilaterally)
- Palpation: Tenderness/swelling → Tendinitis or partial tear
- Thompson Test (Squeeze Test)
- Absence of plantarflexion → Achilles tendon rupture
- Excessive anterior motion → ATFL instability
- Pain/displacement → Syndesmotic injury
- Increased motion → ATFL 前側距腓韌帶/CFL 跟腓韌帶 or Deltoid ligament injury
- Test: Dorsiflex great toe + palpate medial calcaneus

- Tinel’s Sign: Tap posterior to medial malleolus
- Tingling/numbness → Tarsal tunnel syndrome
