- - - - Consists of a declarative statement with two possible answers. eg: True/False. Yes/No
        
        Commonly used to test correctness of a fact, statement, definition or principle
        
        Useful for distinguishing facts from opinion and recognizing cause and effect relationship.
        
        True-false items may not indicate whether students know the correct answer, only that they recognize a statement as false
        
        To avoid crude measures of knowledge, students can be asked to change false statements to true by indicating the part of the statement that can be changed.
      - Advantages of T/F
        
        Students can respond to more true-false items in a given time compared to multiple-choice items.
        
        True-false items can measure a wide range of verbal knowledge
        
        Allows for a broad sampling of course material in a short period.
      - Constructing T/F
        
        Avoid broad general statements
        
        Avoid long, complex sentences
        
        Avoid including two ideas in one statement
        
        Attribute opinions to a source
        
        Equal length of True and False statements
