Legal Status
When a person has legal status as a citizen, he or she is recognised by law as a member of a country
Rights: refers to freedom and privileges that citizens have which usually in the constituation; and are protected by law and should be respected by everyone in the country.
Obligations: refer to duties that citizens are required to fufil as emberss of the country
A sense of identity
refers to how a person perceieves himself or herself;and is whaat a person belivess others perceive of himself or herself
Sense of national identity: comes from a shared belief of connectedness to other citizens belonging to the country; and can be expressed in different ways.
common experiences,practices and spaces
Shared values
refers to principals and beliefs that are embraced and seen important to a specific group of people.
May change over time
country's history and heritage and experiences
Civic participation
Taking part in public affairs in general intrest or concern to the people in the society
Contribute their time,money to address peronel matters,public matters that need to be addresed
