3. RMSOlympic Collision – 200 words
By 1911 Violet had signed on with the newly luxury ship known as the R.M.S. Olympic.
The RMS Olympic was the first out of three magnificent liners which were all operated under the White Star Line
The Olympic was the first of a trio of luxury liners all operated by the White Star Line
Everything went seemingly great for the ship however on September 20th 1911 the passenger ship collided with the H.M.S Hawke (a British cruiser)
The result was a major rip of the ship which was below the waterline.
Luckily the Olympic was able to crawl back to England
6. Later Life & Legacy – 175 words
retired as a stewardess in 1950 at the old age of 63
died in 1971 a the age of 83
"just the will to live, and a huge chunk of faith in divine intervention"
Baby who she saves on titanic rings her and says were you the one who saved me.

Since there was no income in the house Violets mother Katherine became a stewardess to noble passangers aboard the Royal Mail Line which were steamships that crossed the Atlantic
After 5 years at sea (1908) Katherine became ill and Violet who was 21 became the only provider
Violet followed in Katherine's footsteps and became a stewardess. She was too young for the position but her easy personality and multilingual helped get her the job

4. RMS Titanic Disaster – 325 words
When the Olympic was docked for repairs Jessop was sent to her sister ship the R.M.S Titanic
Just 7 months later Titanic was on her maiden voyage
The luxurious liner was only 4 days into her sail when she hit an iceberg
1500 passangers and crew perished...
What was she doing when it sank
At the time of the hit, Jessop had just finished her prayers and was in her berth (a bed, usually stacked like bunk beds, on a train or a ship)
She heard a "low, rending, crunching, ripping sound". Assuming it was a drill as the ship was after all considered "unsinkable"
3 hours later she was aboard a lifeboat and watched as the ship sank in the dark, could North Atlantic
5. HMHS Britannic Sinking – 325 words
After the Great War began Jessop volunteered to serve as a nurse in 1914
She worked in land hospitals for a time but got the opportunity to serve at sea aboard the Britannic. Its vessel struck a mine close to Kea (a Greek Island) in 1916. Jessop was in a lifeboat but it was drawn towards the churning propellers of the Britannic.
The water had turned red as many people had been destroyed by these vessels. and boats were chopped into peices by massive screws
Jessop jumped into the sea and escaped death with the result being that she had a severe skull fracture as well as a deeply gashed leg.
On the British destroyer later she saw a pair of familiar faces, 2 doctors
