How will these amazing things happen?

God grateful for Abram's trust
God passes through to say that 'I will die if this doesn't happen'
strange ritual to make covenant
'doubles down' on promise
But then explains
'It'll be 400 years - you'll be long dead'
You're worried about a slave taking your inheritance
All your offspring will be slaves
