The Plot
Beginning
A war was won in Scotland
King Duncan fought off an invasion of rebels
Macbeth and Banquo are the king's generals
They are returning home but are stopped by three witches
Prophesied that Macbeth would be king and Banquo's children will one day rule
Banquo leaves immediately, but Macbeth tells his wife, Lady Macbeth, who is ambitious for power
The Turning Point
Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth he must kill King Duncan and steal the throne
Lady Macbeth drugs Duncan's gaurds
Macbeth stabs King Duncan in Duncan's chambers
Duncan's sons, Malcom and Donalbain, leave the country in fear of the assassination
Macduff and Malcom raise an army against Macbeth
Macbeth then kills Macduff's family
A battle begins
Lady Macbeth kills herself to escape the guilt of Duncan's death
Later in the battle, the trees from the forest start moving
Macduff's army is disguised as trees
Macbeth is crowned king
Haunted by the murder of King Duncan
Kills anyone who threatens him
Banquo is killed first because his children were said to rule

Macduff beheads Macbeth with one swing and becomes king of Scotland
