Don't fight dirty
Conflicts are not resolved by attacking each other.
Avoid ultimatums
Gives the impression that someone is in charge.
Use"I" rather than "you"
"You" statements can be interpreted as blame.
Don't use the silent treatment
Problems must be discussed
Listen to the other person
Repeat to the person what you think they are saying.
Call a time-out
Gives you and the other person time to cool off.
Act like an adult
Don't act like a child it makes you looks foolish.
Treat them how you want to be treated
If you show kindness they will more than likely to show kindness back.
One thing at a time
Pick out the most important and resolve it first.
Don't humiliate the other person
This can lead to anger and resentment
