the British considered themselves the leaders of European civilisation. They believed that some races were stronger and more intelligent than others

this influenced intellectuals and artists, infact they expressed their doubt about the stability of Victorian society
according to Marx, industrialization has caused problems for men. He wrote these theories in his treatise, Das Kapital. His theories are based on studies done on England, the most advanced European industrial nation of the time.
