Writing (60 minutes)

Task 1: Write a letter (formal, semi-formal, or informal) explaining a situation or making a request.

3 long texts taken from books, journals, magazines, and newspapers.

SCORING SYSTEM

The overall band score is the average of the four section scores, rounded to the nearest 0.5 or whole number.
Example: If a test taker scores 6.5 in Listening, 6.0 in Reading, 5.5 in Writing, and 7.0 in Speaking, the overall score is (6.5 + 6.0 + 5.5 + 7.0) ÷ 4 = 6.25 → rounded to 6.5.
