How can the people of the United States and the Government work together to mitigate the impact technology and social media have had thus far and will have in the future on child exploitation?
There have been many cases already in the past of children who were exploited by producers of large companies or even more personally by their families.

There are many issues that come up when we take a deeper dive into the media and technology, how it all works, and what one can do with it.
It is disturbingly normalized among offenders to plead guilty, then continue to find ways to rationalize with themselves or others and create excuses to almost justify their crimes.
The titles news and articles use tend to undermine the severity of the child abuse going on in the case, marginalizing the situation and the victims trauma.
Development in the (and the use of better) language used by media can assist in publicizing the severity more accurately of child abuse instead of continuing to undermine the cases.
The misconstruction of CSAM related cases through media can marginalize or inferiorize victims and prevent victims from reporting the offenses. The media can also tamper with how the viewers perceive the information they are being given, which leads to negative mental effects on the victim.
“Triple A Engine”: The internet is easy to access, affordable, and offers anonymity to users. This is what makes the internet such a influential factor in the distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force in the U.S. says runaways and homeless individuals under the age of 18 are more subject to exploitation than others. Every 1 in 4 of homeless children are victims of child exploitation in the forms of sex trafficking or “sex for survival.”
COVID-19 promoted the use of the internet, which in turn played into the further increase of child exploitation cases.
“The victims of child sex trafficking are likely to be controlled by gangs or pimps and forced to engage in various CSAM production via a commercialized CSAM social media network, dark web, and/or P2P net-work. Online users from many countries involved in child sex trafficking utilize these networks to share photos, videos, and captures from live streaming.”
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) has announced that from 2018-2021 cases of child exploitation have gradually increased, reaching 29.3mil reports. This number is assumed to only continue to increase every year.

Many ways for predators online to utilize technology to cause harm to children other than physically while being on a large companies set of a film’s production.
-
Counter: Extremists believe technology is a pure evil that should be completely eradicated. Using the argument of how much child exploitation has happened due to the evolution in both technology itself and the use of it, they will support their argument heavily.
Rebuttal: There will obviously be negative consequences that arise from a power as strong as technology, however there are also very positive effects it has had on society as a whole. Specific to this situation, while technology and the internet is making an already bad problem much worse, it is also what people use to bring attention to the matter and create solutions to try and counter it.

Content produced by kidfluencers should be recognized legally as work, so the potential of their exploitation and the commercial nature of their online presence can be acknowledged.
More offered support for child actors to help with negative mental health tolls, more transparency on payment practices and contracts with both the children and the families, following laws put in place that regard working hours.
More laws such as the Coogan law should be implemented to help safeguard the rights of child content creators and their earnings.
More restrictions on what those who post on YouTube can post. Keeping a closer eye on them as well if they are family related accounts, as they can be spreading misinformation that can be harmful to other families.
