Horror
Setting
Many horror stories include creaking doors, and random background noises. They often try to use creepy locations like abandoned factories or run down buildings to add a sense of fear.
In horror, they often use dark isolated locations like old houses, abandoned buildings, forests and desolate towns, they're common because they create the feeling of danger and isolation.
