NEA Briefs: Initial Thoughts And Ideas
Print
Pros
More time in front of a computer - easy to access?
Considered easier and "safer" than AV
Potentially easier to do - I have more experience with the field
Cons
I have NO ideas
I have NO interest whatsoever in fashion/style
Based off previous experience/projects, if I am not actively interested in something, I get bored, slow down and then stop altogether.
Lots of "editing" rather than actually creating content
You need to be REALLY good to achieve higher marks
I HATE the brief
AV
Pros
Lots of potential to make something better than if I did print
(considering the brief for print) More fun
I HAVE A VISION
The higher mark scorers often do AV
I have more ideas
Friends going to New York, could take pictures
Hey There Delilah
Cons
I haven't actually done anything like this before
Often considered harder to do than print
Maybe my ideas/vision might be too big to pull off?
I'm gonna do AV
Based off what I have seen of previous projects...
The final look needs to be cohesive, no matter if it is print or AV
I'd like to film people - but possibly not their face - kinda mysterious?
The music video needs to work with the song - either telling the story or syncing up (eg. jumping off cliff with beat drop)
NEEDS to be high quality footage - or at least consistent quality of filming/photographs
