3. Inox Encampment
Motivated by gold and a sense of rough justice, you follow Jekserah’s map deep into the Dagger Forest. Eventually, you locate the Inox encampment—a secluded cluster of huts in a clearing—ready to make your bloody example.
🥅 Kill Cx2 enemies
After fleeing the carnage of the Inox raiders, you meet Jekserah again, this time at her manor, where she pays you without a word of gratitude. She quickly assigns you another task: retrieve a large diamond from a dangerous, Vermling-infested mine in the southern mountains.
As you leave her manor, a voice stops you—Argeise, a Quatryl city guard, reveals herself and warns you that Jekserah is no mere merchant, but someone with dangerous ambitions to overthrow the military in Gloomhaven. She offers a choice: continue serving Jekserah’s mysterious plans or help expose the truth and protect the city.

Jekserah has escaped, her plans foiled but her threat still looming, prompting a new pursuit. The city guard offers no help, but suggests the Aesther enchanter might be able to locate her—if you can convince her to assist.
7. Vibrant Grotto
You seek out the enchanter Hail for help locating Jekserah, only to be met with frustration, sarcasm, and an explosive welcome. She agrees to assist—if you first gather some biteroot from a dangerous grove crawling with hostile creatures. With her map in hand, you set off toward the wild caves north of the Dagger Forest, ready for a fight.
🥅 Loot all treasure tiles
You return to the Crooked Bone with the biteroot, enduring Hail's absentminded sarcasm and erratic behavior. Eventually, she provides you with a map—still dripping with biteroot paste—that points to Jekserah’s location, setting you on the final path to confront the necromancer.

Exhausted but victorious, you face the still-open rift as a chilling voice beckons you to enter and embrace the Gloom. Now, you must choose: confront the darkness within or walk away and leave its ominous call unanswered.
29. Sanctuary of Gloom
Stepping through the rift, you're met with tormenting visions before arriving in a seemingly familiar chamber—only to realize you've been trapped. The Gloom mocks your efforts, sealing the rift and abandoning you to die forgotten and alone in an alien realm.
🥅 Kill all enemies
Just as all hope fades, you awaken outside the cult’s hideout, spared by the Gloom itself, which claims to be intrigued by your defiance. Inside, the cultists lie dead, and the Gloom warns that its influence has only just begun, promising a future clash filled with even greater darkness.
