        Phospholipids is a glycerol platform are called "phosphoglycerides" or "phosphoglycerols"
        
        Three common phosphoglyceride head groups are phosphatidylserine (PS) (negatively charged), phosphatidylcholine (PC) (neutral charge/larger), and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) (neutral charge, smaller)
        
        One of these headgroups (that I don't need to draw) is phosphatidylositol (PI), which is a signaling lipid (it has a ring)

        Naming
        
        Begins at carboxylic carbon (Carbon 2 is Alpha and Carbon 3 is Beta)
        
        Double bonds are denoted by delta symbol followed by a superscript of the carbon number
        
        Can also start counting from far side (Omega (w) naming)
        
        Omega-3 fatty acids have a double bond on the third carbon from the end
        
        Suffixes
        
        "-ate" is a salt
        
        "-oyl" is an acyl chain
        
        "-ic" is an acid
