The monster wails (beginning scenario)
ROUTE 1 – THE WORLD IS SAVED: the savior of the world
(1) OPTION 1: Kill it without a second thought. Monsters are sick, twisted beings of deception.
It's mother comes, wailing and screeching in grief as she watches her child getting slaughtered by the hero. It's mother lunges at the hero.
(2) OPTION 1: Kill the mother, monsters are all the same.
The hero becomes the savior of the nation, humanity rejoices. the hero's heart feels empty.. but when has it not?
ROUTE 2 – THE WORLD IS SAVED: according to the prophecy
(1) OPTION 2: ...what?
The hero lowers his blade in shock
The hero lowers his blade, before hearing loud footsteps quickly approaching-- the monster's mother. Its mother quickly rushes to its side, cradling the monster; it's back facing the hero, protecting its son.
(3) OPTION 1: the hero shrugs his hesitation.
he aims at the monster’s mother, killing the both of them at once
The monster both dies, their body lifeless on the ground as the hero ends the centuries worth of torment. the world is now saved.
The hero becomes the savior of the nation, humanity rejoices. the hero's heart feels empty.. and he keeps recalling the way the mother protected its child.
realizing that the hero is the also the beast the prophecy mentioned, he points the blade he used to take the lives of all the monster to his heart.
(1) OPTION 3: the hero steps closer in an attempt to decipher what the monster said.
The hero lowers his blade, before hearing loud footsteps quickly approaching-- the monster's mother. Its mother quickly rushes to its side, cradling the monster; it's back facing the hero, protecting its son.
(3) OPTION 1: the hero shrugs his hesitation.
he aims at the monster’s mother, killing the both of them at once

(3) OPTION 3:
drops the blade
the sound of the blade hitting the ground echoed across the forest, signaling that the hero has surrendered.
understanding the hero's intentions, the pair didn't try to attack the hero, too busy basking in the fact that they're not dead.
(5) OPTION 1:
return to the kingdom he let down
The people cheered at his return, but the hero mentions that he couldn't kill the monster. the people panicked, their eyes blinded with confusion then morphed into spite and anger-- even his own mother looked at him with the same amount of distain one would look at a monster. having no other option, the hero headed towards the cavern far away.
The hero feels guilt because he didn't fulfill his duty-- his one purpose. but somehow, his heart felt full.
(5) OPTION 2:
head for the caverns far away. no one will accept him.

(1) OPTION 3: the hero steps closer in an attempt to decipher what the monster said.
The hero lowers his blade, before hearing loud footsteps quickly approaching-- the monster's mother. Its mother quickly rushes to its side, cradling the monster; it's back facing the hero, protecting its son.
(3) OPTION 2: the hero pauses, eyes widening at the scene unfolding before him..
familial love. unconditional love. unlike he's ever experienced.
(4) OPTION 1: 'It's my chance!'
attempts to kill them both
the monster notices this and immediately pushes its mother out of the way, taking the hit himself, which led to it dying. shocked at the fact the monster attempted to protect its mother, the mother fueled with rage kills the hero. No matter how strong, the hero is still human.
the monster ends up asexually reproducing, continuing to threaten the lives of humanity. life returns to how it was.
(4) OPTION 2: stands still.
noticing the state of the hero, the mother uses this chance to end the life of the hero. No matter how strong, the hero is still human.
