Property of inequalities

1: For any two given numbers a and b, one and only one of the following conditions holds: a›b, a<b, or a=b.
4: Multiplying (or dividing) both sides of an inequality by a positive number does not change the direction of the inequality.
5: Multiplying (or dividing) both sides of an inequality by a negative number changes the direction of the inequality.
3: Adding (or subtracting) the same number to (or from) both sides of an inequality does not change the direction of the inequality.
