Materials
-
Not necessary to list common lab equipment. (Think relevance: does it matter if you use a beaker or flask?)
-
Procedures
-
Provide details as needed - quantities, pH, temp, etc. - anything that could affect the outcome of the experiment, should be specific.
Introduction

Background
-
Background knowledge-previous research. First broad, then more specific to this study.

Type of experiment: field, lab, actual, theoretical, etc.
Theoretical experiment (data was provided to us by Professor S, via Quaardvark)

Body mass and BMR have a more positive relationship. Larger birds generally have a higher BMR when referring to mass specific BMR; while smaller birds have a higher rate per body mass. Due to their size, larger birds tend to use more overall energy. While smaller birds have a higher mass specific BMR.

Do NOT include raw data or calculations for common statistical tests (e.g. the t-test table); include the relevant values in your paragraph and in your figure/table captions - see textbook chapter 5 for how to correctly report statistics
Paragraphs
