Ancient India - Coggle Diagram

- - - - There were many plants,paintings,and lighting were all part of what makes some of the Indian houses/structures.
- - - - (BOYS) In the Vedic system a child would start education around the age of 5. To mark that the child is strong enough they would extend the Vidyarambha ceremony. Which had included worshiping Goddess Saraswati and learning the alphabets for the first time.
        
        Both the Vedic and Buddhist Vinaya, Abhidhamma and Sutta system had different education subjects,the Vedic system had four subjects (the four vedas) they were Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda. Six Vedangas ritualistic knowledge, metrics, exegetics, grammar, phonetics and astronomy.the Upanishads, Tarka Shastra (logic and reasoning). Puranas (history).The main subjects in the Buddhist system were the three Pitakas. These were all main subjectcts of ancient India.
      - (BOYS) In the Buddhist system a child would usually start education around 8 years old and would attend the ceremony Pabbajja or Pravrajya. After this ceremony the child would leave home and live with the teacher (a monk).
        
        (GIRLS) Education in India was very important for women. They were trained in housekeeping,dancing,and music. GIRLS also had to go to the Upanayana ceremony. Women were divided into two classes Sadyodwahas which were those who pursued education until they got married,and Brahmavadinis women who never got married and studied throughout their lives.
