Questions to add in my questionnaire that relate to "is it ethical to base orcas natural instincts on our morality"
Which animal from the following photos would you trust the most: orca, dog, lion ect
Have you watched blackfish? If so did it change your outlook on orca captivity? Would you have thought differently without watching it?
-
From these apex predators which is the most dangerous to you: Dog, Orca, Gorilla, Lion, Tiger ect
-
Do you believe zoos are for conservation efforts, economical value or to teach the public?
-

-
Do you trust the keepers who integrate with the apex predators to keep themselves safe whilst being in the enclosure with them?
This question will allow me to gain information on how people view tamed apex predators and so it will allow me to compare against their views of orcas/other apex predators. Would gain effective information.

A pretty vague question that is more vocabulary based than general knowledge so seems too narrowed down for the person to understand. Would fail to get information due to misunderstanding.
Helps give a basis of if the public can understand that orcas have capabilities to attack and aren't supposedly tamed docile mammals. Would gain effective information.
Helps me understand if the public is willing to learn about the issues of captive confinement and therefore can become educated on the unethical sides of orca confinement. It will also show if the public is undereducated on the topic and therefore needs to be as to try and bring about a fairer system for the orcas. Would gain effective information.
This question is good as many would lean towards the most domesticated predator and therefore show ignorance against the fact that they believe truly that animal won't attack when in reality it can. Can also use different ideas around this question. Would gain effective information.
Would show the public can understand more ethical reasons behind zoos etc however this question is quite broad as there may be many different ways of educating the public which can have negative effect on the animals so it might not be too effective at gaining information.
This will help me understand how people view zoos in general and if the general public value and enjoy them as a whole or if they dislike and think negatively for them. Would gain effective information.
Might gain little responses but would be valuable to know peoples thoughts if they had watched it and so would gain information on how effective black fish was in general. Would gain minimal but effective information.

Will gain understanding of the public bias of zoos and how people perceive the reasons they're built and if this reasonings are ethically moral and of good intentions. Would gain effective information.
Would show the hierarchical thinking of humans and if they are ignorant to dangers because the animals are behind a wall. Can gain effective information.
