Sacraments Of Healing
Baptism
A religious rite that represents introduction into the faith, purification, and rebirth is baptism. Water is a common symbol for spiritual washing in Christianity. While some traditions need a personal statement of faith prior to baptism, others practice infant baptism.
-
Penance
Our remorse, sorrow and resolution to amend our life with God's help.
Reconciliation The process by which people are absolved of sins after being baptised, as revealed by Christ to the Church
Holy Orders
The rite through which men are consecrated as deacons or priestsPriests are superior to Christian ministers.
Sin- Sin is a failing to love God and one's neighbour resulting from a perverse attachment to specific goods; it is an offence against reason, truth, and a right conscience. Human unity is harmed, and man's nature is wounded.
Eucharist
With the help of the Holy Spirit and the priest's assistance, bread and wine are transformed into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ during the Eucharistic celebration.
Hope- By putting our faith in Christ's promises and not depending on our own power, we can seek the kingdom of heaven and eternal life as our happiness. This is known as Christian hope.
Matrimony
The sacrament of matrimony sanctifies spouses on their path to eternal life, deepens their unbreakable bond, and perfects their human love. The free consent of the man and the woman celebrating the sacrament is the foundation of marriage.
-
Confirmation
In the Christian religious rite of confirmation, a person who has been baptised deepens their faith and commitment and frequently receives the Holy Spirit. Catholic, Orthodox, and certain Protestant churches all use it frequently. It typically entails a priest or bishop's benediction and denotes spiritual maturity.
-
Annointing Of The Sick
A Catholic sacrament that honours our belief in Christ's healing influence in our lives is the sacrament of anointing of the sick.
-
Vincent de Paul's dedication to using the Church's sacraments to serve others is demonstrated by his relationship with the Seven Sacraments. In order to help the underprivileged and disenfranchised, he underlined the value of the Eucharist, confession, and the anointing of the sick. His work with the Vincentians centred on practicing the spiritual and material acts of compassion, and his life was an example of sacramental grace, especially via charitable deeds.
-
The Blessed Sacrament is that Presence which makes a Catholic Church different from every other place in the world; which makes it, as no other place can be, holy.
Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute,” (Psalm 82:3).
