Reporting of Injuries, Diseases, and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations - 2013
A legal requirement that requires employers to keep written records of and to report incidents to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
Report the following:
- Work related accidents that cause death
- Work related accidents that cause serious injuries, such as; loss o sight, serious burns, crush injuries or heat induced illness
- Diagnosed cases of specific types of work related diseases, e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, asbestosis, occupational dermatitis, occupations cancer, occupational asthma, exposure to biological agents.
- Incidents that have a potential to cause harm - collapse of equipment, chemical spills or leaks, overflowing drains or gas leaks.

Requires employers to provide information and training on reporting injuries, diseases and incidents
Requires work settings to have procedures in place for reporting injuries, disease and incidents.
