Hacking
It is the unauthorized access to personal computers or networks by users without having the owner's permission.
Damage by malware or ransomware
Ransomware is a type of malware which prevents you from accessing your device and the data by encrypting your files. and a criminal group will demand a ransom for decryption.
Malware is an intrusive software developed by cyber criminals to steal data and damage or destroy computers and computer systems.
Accidentally deleting data
It can happen by accidentally pressing the delete key, formatting media on the wrong storage device and by losing power unexpectedly
Hardware or software theft
Hardware theft is stealing computer equipment
Software theft is illegal copying, distributing, and selling software
Preventions
Use CAPTCHA test to make sure that the data is entered by human and not bit or web robot.
use passwords, PINS and biometrics to authorize user
Use firewalls to prevent unauthorized access
Using anti-malware to prevent malware from accessing computers
Using anti-spyware to detect, quarantine and remove spyware
Using encryption for sensitive data to scramble it into a coded form and it will only be readable by using a decoder and decoding it.
