Energy and Its Forms
Kinetic: Energy in moving bodies is kinetic energy.Examples: energy of moving car, energy fired bullets from gun, etc.
Potential: Energy stored in bodies due to stress, gravity, etc. Examples: energy in the water of dam, energy in stone in the stretched catapult,etc
Thermal: Energy obtained from heat from the hot bodies or heating bodies. Example: Geothermal energy, etc
Electrical: Energy obtained due to the flow of electrons or through process related to electron phenomena. Example: Electricity, etc.
Other: Nuclear energy, solar energy, wind energy etc. are other forms of energy
Mechanical to Electrical: Example ; dynamo transforms kinetic energy to electrical energy, movement of turbine is converted to electrical energy with the help of magnet in hydropower
Chemical to Thermal: Examples; Biogas and LPG are converted to heat energy through stoves in kitchen.
Examples in daily life: Conversion of solar energy to electrical energy with the help of solar cells, transformation of wind energy to electrical energy, chemical energy from food converted to mechanical energy in the body ,etc
