Tetzel would make pardons to sinners so they could get out of there penalty that the preist forced upon them
This wasn't supposed to affect God judgement
People thought that by buying pardons they could buy there way into heaven.

Luther wrote 95 formal statements about Tetzel actions
With the printing press now being invented Luthers name and idea quickly spread all over Germany
His actions began the reformation
Christian churches that weren't led by Popes authority
